Esmorose™-L Capsules is a prescription medicine used in the treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease (acid reflux). It works by relieving the symptoms such as heartburn, stomach pain, or irritation. It also neutralizes the acid production in the stomach to prevent discomfort.

The most common side effects include diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, flatulence, constipation, and headache. Most of these are temporary and usually resolve with time. Contact your doctor straight away if you are at all concerned about any side effects. To overcome constipation, you should add fibre-rich foods in your diet and stay hydrated. It may also cause sleepiness, so do not drive or do anything that requires mental focus until you know how this medicine affects you. Avoid drinking alcohol while taking this medicine as it can worsen your sleepiness. Lifestyle modifications like having cold milk and avoiding hot tea, coffee, spicy food or chocolate can help you to get better results.

Alcohol: It is unsafe to consume alcohol with Esmorose™-L Capsules.
Pregnancy: Esmorose™-L Capsules may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Although there are limited studies in humans, animal studies have shown harmful effects on the developing baby. Your doctor will weigh the benefits and any potential risks before prescribing it to you. Please consult your doctor.
Breast feeding: Information regarding the use of Esmorose™-L Capsules during breastfeeding is not available. Please consult your doctor.
Driving: Esmorose™-L Capsules may cause side effects which could affect your ability to drive. Esmorose™-L Capsules may cause drowsiness, numbness, or dyskinesias, therefore they should be advised to avoid driving and operations requiring supervision.
Kidney: There is limited information available on the use of Esmorose™-L Capsules in patients with kidney disease. Please consult your doctor. However, limited data suggest a cautious use of this medicine in these patients.
Liver: Esmorose™-L Capsules should be used with caution in patients with severe liver disease. Dose adjustment of Esmorose™-L Capsules may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
